Aleri and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat

Now with actual color!

But it's not really Technicolor.

So sue me.

...Remember how I said I wouldn't color this in? Yeah, I'm a liar. See, I'm doing an art trade with somebody, but they need to have a reference of Aleri in this coat with color. So... I mustered up my courage and wits to do it.

It feels like having color detracts slightly from the instant feeling you get of "Holy cats, that's details lineart!" you get when looking at the original. And for sanity's sake, I didn't do shading on this. Maybe someday... no, no, not a chance. I'll sooner draw this all over again. ...Which I will, knowing me. Darn me.

The white gloves were actually decided on because they went with the outfit, kind of spur-of-the-moment.

Also, I colored this in at the same time as a bunch of others, and as a result, I actually colored characters consistently. Aleri's hair and eyes are drawn with the exact same color in each of them, as are Rexial's and Vita's.

I feel like the color does add something, though: the patterns on the lower part of the coat look more correct.
