Trio - Peaceful Slumber - Rexial Focus

The second of the three! Yaaaaaaaay!

This one is my personal favorite. It centers on Rexial. You'd think that a picture focusing on him would be the LEAST happy and lighthearted, since he's the dark, brooding loner of the three, right?

WRONG! <3

...Mostly because Rex is ultimately just about as kind as the others. Sure, he's dark, but he's got his powers under total control, and this is a universe where darkness isn't inherently evil. He broods a little, but he's not completely beyond any form of social interaction, and he does have fun. He tends to work alone, but that's because he works very well alone. He kind of gave up on the power to directly boost himself with friendship, opting for more indirect stuff, like bolstering his fighting spirit and making him feel like he has both people backing him up and people who rely on him.

So, in a shocking twist, Rexial's picture is completely free of angst or violence. This is one of very few pictures in which Rexial smiles, and isn't his alternate-timeline counterpart who's more outwardly happy.

It also makes clear that Rexial's new outfit has the least amount of detail. It's funny, since his normal clothing, the black coat, has a lot more detail and is notoriously hard to draw. So while his friends get special, fancy clothes that have incredible detail in their designs, he gets a much more casual outfit with a simpler design.

Vita's legs had to be adjusted a number of times before I was satisfied with them. And there are still some weird problems in the picture, but try to ignore them and relax. How can you be uptight when you're looking at those faces, totally free of any sadness or problems?
